On October 8, 2025, at the lavish Okada Manila in the Philippines, she was crowned Mrs. Universe 2025—the first Indian woman to ever claim this honor in the pageant’s 48-year history. Competing against 120 delegates from across the globe, Sherry’s victory is more than a personal triumph; it’s a testament to the power of perseverance, blending her athletic roots, creative passions, and unyielding advocacy into a story that resonates far beyond the runway.
The Early Years: A Foundation Built on Strength and Style
Sherry Singh’s journey began far from the glamour of international pageants, on the bustling courts of New Delhi where she honed her skills as a national-level basketball player. From a young age, Sherry embodied discipline, teamwork, and resilience—qualities that would later propel her onto the world stage. Her athletic background wasn’t just a phase; it shaped her into a fitness enthusiast who champions physical and mental well-being, often sharing her rigorous gym routines as a source of inspiration for others.
Transitioning from the fast-paced world of sports, Sherry pursued her creative side, earning a master’s degree in fashion. This academic pursuit allowed her to merge her love for aesthetics with a deeper purpose, fueling her role as an advocate for women’s empowerment and mental health awareness. Whether mentoring young athletes or raising awareness about the challenges of balancing ambition and family, Sherry has always used her platform to uplift those around her. Her story is one of reinvention: from scoring hoops to strutting in heels, proving that true strength lies in adaptability.
Family: The Heartbeat Behind the Hustle
At the core of Sherry’s world is her loving family, a pillar of support that grounds her soaring achievements. Married to her husband, Sikandar Singh, for nine years, Sherry Singh often describes their bond as a partnership built on mutual encouragement and shared dreams. Together, they are proud parents to a young son, whose joyful energy lights up their home in New Delhi. Through social media glimpses—boasting over 19,000 followers—Sherry shares tender family moments, from playful outings to quiet reflections, reminding us that behind every crown is a circle of love that makes the victories sweeter.
This family-first ethos wasn’t always easy to balance with her ambitions. As a mother navigating the demands of pageantry, Sherry has openly embraced the “beautiful mother” narrative, turning potential obstacles into empowering narratives. Her win isn’t just hers; it’s a celebration for every woman juggling roles with grace.
