Deshbandhu College’s Fest: On Tuesday, April 2, 2025, a conflict broke out at the South Campus (New Delhi) in Deshbandhu College, Kalkaji, during a music concert. The incident occurred during the performance of Masoom Sharma, when two students started fighting with each other, which later turned the concert into a battleground.

Deshbandhu College organized its annual cultural fest, “Sabrang,” where they invited popular Haryanvi singer Masoom Sharma. During his concert, two students got into a huge conflict. He was barely able to finish two or three songs before the crowd became uncontrollable.

What Did Masoom Sharma Do?

During the conflict, Masoom Sharma tried to stop the fight and calm the audience by urging them not to spread chaos and to allow the show to proceed properly before the police arrived.

According to sources, this is the second time such an incident has occurred during his concert in the past two weeks. Before this, a similar incident took place at Punjab University in Chandigarh, which led to one person’s death and three injuries.

Following these incidents, Haryana police also sent Masoom Sharma a notification and warning to remove some of his songs as they promote violence and the use of weapons like guns.

The police were called to control the concert audience. They were seen using sticks (lathis) to manage the crowd as the situation quickly escalated. They also protected the stage and the singer, as they typically do to safeguard a famous personality.
