Hailing from Ramauli village, the son of former IAS officer and Former MLA Raghaw Sharan  Pandey, Ritesh presents a fresh face with a strong lineage; yet it remains unclear whether he will secure the coveted BJP ticket.

Narkatiaganj remains a General category seat, situated in West Champaran under Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha segment In 2020, incumbent Rashmi Varma (BJP) won by over 21,000 votes, drawing 45.9% share against INC’s Vinay Varma with 33%  Yet by the 2024 Lok Sabha election, NDA’s lead in the segment slid to just around 7,035 votes—a sign of mounting electoral competition.

As per latest figures, the electorate has expanded from ~265,561 in 2020 to ~279,043 by 2024, with voter turnout consistently hovering above 60%, including 62.02% in 202. Crucially, Muslims constitute over 30% of voters, SCs around 15%, and STs about 1.5%  The rest of the electorate is a mix of upper castes like Rajputs and Bhumihars, plus Other Backward Classes—creating a complex caste arithmetic scenario.
