Noida: Saraswati Pooja Celebrated with Grandiose in Noida, Children Steal Hearts with Dance Performance
Noida: The Spring Festival (Vasant Panchami) was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Noida on Wednesday. Collective prayers and rituals were offered to Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge and wisdom, in temples located across sectors and societies. People donned yellow attire and participated in havan (fire offering). The day was filled with kite flying and festive spirit.
In Sector 82’s Ekta Kunj Pocket 12, residents and children of the society celebrated Saraswati Puja with fervor. Children captivated everyone with their dance performance. They worshipped Goddess Saraswati and prayed for academic success. After the puja, prasad (sacred food offering) was distributed to devotees.
According to the organizing committee, preparations for the Saraswati Puja program began several days in advance within the society. The entire society premises were cleaned and decorated with flower garlands in various forms. Every member of the society, young and old, contributed to fostering the festive spirit.
On this occasion, the organizing committee and residents of the society conveyed that Saraswati Puja is not just a religious ritual, but has become a unique celebration of Indian culture, tradition, and unity. They expressed their commitment to celebrating it in the same manner every year.
On Thursday, the idol of Goddess Saraswati was immersed in the Yamuna River with full devotion and prayers. A grand aarti (ritual offering of light) was held, followed by a procession carrying the idol to the river accompanied by music and instruments. The idol was immersed in the river with heartfelt emotions.
Devotees sought blessings of knowledge and wisdom from Goddess Saraswati as they bid her farewell. During the immersion procession, young people and elders smeared gulal (colored powder) on each other and exchanged festive greetings. Children also clicked plenty of pictures to cherish the moment. School children residing in Pocket 12 Society, including Sakshi, Ayush, Aryan, Shiwangi, Sneha, and others, celebrated Saraswati Puja with great enthusiasm and enjoyed the festivities.
