Galouti Kebab: The Nawab’s Delight

Legend has it that Galouti Kebabs were created for a toothless Nawab who craved tender meat. These minced meat patties, blended with over 150 spices and raw papaya for softness, melt in your mouth. Served with flaky parathas or sheermal (saffron-infused naan), they’re a hallmark of Lucknow’s culinary finesse. You’ll find them sizzling on coal grills in Aminabad’s bustling lanes, where the aroma alone is enough to draw you in.

Lucknowi Biryani: Lucknow Famous Food

Forget heavy, spice-laden biryanis. Lucknowi Biryani is light, with long-grain rice infused with subtle spices like cloves and star anise, layered with tender meat. The magic lies in the dum technique, where the pot is sealed to trap aromas. Often paired with a side of burani raita, it’s a dish that feels like a warm hug.
