Maharashtra Elections: – As per the ongoing elections of Maharashtra which is going to be held on 20 November 2024, every party is finalizing their seat, forming alignments and etc. some parties are all sets for the elections where as some are still stuck in discuss over seats and some other negotiations as the last date for filing of nomination for assembly election is on 30 October 2024.

BJP first list for Maharashtra Elections, released on Sunday.

BJP with ahead of Maharashtra elections is the only party that came up and released its list on 20 October 2024.This list contains 99 candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly poll. The list contain name like CM Devendra Fadnavis, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Sreejaya Ashok Chavan, Girish Mahajan and other.

BJP Sandeep Naik and Rajkumar Badole, quits party ahead of the elections

Whereas BJP Sandeep naik quit party after getting denied for the tickets. On other end BJP leader and former minister Rajkumar Badole quits the party and joins hands with CM Ajit Pawar (NCP). He also commented on this saying “In last 25 years, Mahayuti government has done a lot of good work in Maharashtra”, as NCP alliance with Mahayuti.

Congress and shiv sena alliance, NCP arc on seat sharing meeting and others:

Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) talks about seat sharing, which is seem to be a hurdle as both the party reached out to NCP(SP) Sharad Pawar to try and break the deadlock between them. After the meeting the UBT walked out and threatened to leave the conversation, meanwhile congress cancel its meeting with UBT on Sunday to discuss about the seat and candidate with Nana Patole and finalized its candidates. They also discuss about the demand raised by UBT and how unreasonable they are.

What are the difficulties in holding the negotiation between congress and shiv sena (UBT)?

The sena UBT proposed a 100,100 and 88 seat sharing formula for itself, Congress and NCP, also some alliance of small party with each party could also be part of this seat sharing.

In the discussion Nana Patole wanted 125 seats for the congress which led to a conflict between him and Sanjay Raut. According to the sources provided by congress, UBT is seeking seat in the area where congress has a strong arc and chances of winning like Bandra East and Nagpur south. The congress also pointed out that they did not get a single seat in Konkan belt which is UBT strong pointed area. The congress also stated that UBT is demanding too much by seeking 100 seats where they only strength id limited to 82 to 85 seats.

Nana Patole and Sanjay Raut conflicts and the final discussion between the two parties.

Nana Patole showed an aggressive behaviour at a meeting last week which didn’t go well with the UBT as they also demanded seat in Nasik which led to a conflict between Patole and Raut.  The UBT claimed that the behaviour was unnecessary and Sanjay Raut threatened to stop the meeting if Patole took part in them. On this congress said they will not take part in any meeting without there State Chief. After this conflict Uddhav Thackeray cancelled his own part meeting on Sunday and demanded a virtual meeting with the congress for next two days.
