Feel The Change Foundation’s Initiative : Major Awareness Campaign Against Cyber Crime in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Action in Collaboration with Police and Administration
Gautam Buddha Nagar district, which includes Noida and Greater Noida, has now launched an organized campaign against cyber crime. In view of cases like online fraud, digital arrest, OTP scams, and fake investment schemes, the Feel The Change Foundation has decided to run a widespread public awareness campaign. This campaign will be conducted across the entire district in collaboration with the Noida Police and the district administration.
Recently, the Foundation’s Secretary JP Mandal met with Cyber Cell ACP Vivek Ranjan Rai. In this meeting, it was decided that along with action against cyber crime, large-scale awareness programs will also be held. ACP Vivek Ranjan Rai assured that police officers themselves will participate in these programs and directly inform people about how to avoid cyber fraud.
Police, Lawyers, and Digital Experts on One Platform
The special feature of this campaign is that it is not just the Foundation involved, but also police officers, lawyers with legal knowledge, and digital experts will participate.
- Police will explain how to file a complaint and the correct use of the 1930 helpline.
- Lawyers will explain the legal rights of victims in cyber crime cases.
- Digital experts will tell how to keep mobiles and the internet secure.
People will be clearly told in simple words:
- Never share OTP with anyone.
- Do not click on unknown links.
- Do not do banking on public Wi-Fi.
- Avoid free VPNs.
Cooperation from RWAs and Administration
The campaign will also involve full cooperation from RWAs (Resident Welfare Associations) of various societies in Gautam Buddha Nagar, market associations, and the local administration. Special sessions will be held in schools and colleges. Youth will be made aware about digital security so that they can alert their families and people around them.
Foundation to Prepare тАЬDigital WarriorsтАЭ
The Foundation plans to train тАЬDigital WarriorsтАЭ in the district. These warriors will provide correct information about cyber security in their respective areas and guide people on the right path for help when needed.
