Ahmedabad: Australia defeated India by 7 wickets to win the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India.
Chasing a target of 241, Australia’s openers, David Warner and Aaron Finch, put on a 121-run partnership to set the tone for the chase. Warner scored 54 off 42 balls, while Finch made 68 off 51 balls.
The Australian middle order also contributed with valuable knocks, with Steve Smith scoring 34, Marnus Labuschagne making 33, and Marcus Stoinis making 28.
