Ok Computer: A Disney+Hotstar Series featuring Radhika Apte,Vijay Varma and Jackie Shroff.

New Delhi, Disney+Hotstar unveil the trailer of Sci-Fi Comedy Series OK Computer- Starring Radhika Apte, Vijay Varma, Jackie Shroff. This two-and-a-half minute trailer for OK Computer, is created and written by Anand Gandhi, the one who directed Ship of Theseus and Tumbbad. Ok Computer is a series set in the Year 2031 and follows cyber cell agent Hari Kundu (Vijay Varma) who in attempts of solving a pedestrian’s death by a self-driving car, ends up revealing things and information which was not to be discovered. Further adding to story, a robot name Ajeeb ends up in the crosshairs, raising questions above AI three Laws of Robotics, which is whether AI has turned on its creator, and if robots deserve the same treatment as humans.

Let’s talk more about this trailer:The trailer shows an accident scene, where Hari Kundu (Vijay Varma) says that it is not an accident but is a murder that is done by a robot. In this trailer we can witness robots, flying cars and AI product which is called as Ajeeb. Ajeeb is claimed to be best invention and a prime suspect behind the murder as we noticed a similar idea in Hollywood flick such as I-Robot starring Will Smith and Bridget Moynahan. On one hand the story reminds of similar theme, but the whole persona of the series is around humor, which give this series a little edge. There are some minute details that makes it more funny such as naming technology like robot named Ajeeb, self driven car named NHKL which is pronounced as Nikhil.

OK Computer release date is March 26 on Disney+Hotstar. Radhika Apte plays robots rights activist and Vijay Varma plays the role of investigating officer. In addition to Varma’s character Hari Kundu, OK Computer characters include Laksmi ( Radhika Apte) a private organisation leader called as PETER for the ethical treatment of robots, Pushpak Shakur (Jackie Shroff) is a maniac who claims to be the “real murderer” in OK Computer trailer, and we also get a glimpse of Rasika Dugal (Mirzapur fame) as someone who seems to have lost her marbels.

OK Computer is a production of Memesys Culture Lab for Disney+Hotstar and will be releasing with six-episode. Memesys Culture Lab is a joint venture of Ananda Gandhi (Director of Ship of Theseus and Tumbbad), Vinay Shukla( a filmmaker, producer and actor.)

In a prepared statement Gandhi said,”OK Computer is an attempt to imagine a world of our near-future together, and laugh out loud while we are at it. The show asks one of the biggest questions of this century, if AI commits a crime who should be culpable? It asks this question with madcap humour, zany character and a rollercoaster epic story. It’s been my privilege to offer unprecedented stories to Indian audiences. OK Computer, like my previous work, is a small step in a completely new direction. I hope it opens up floodgates for science fiction entertainment in India.

In just a few hours of the trailer’s release, it has so far received 209,218 views, and 16K Likes at the time of writing this story. The trailer received huge love from the audience and some of them commented too. One of the user wrote: “From the maker of Tumbbad ,expectations are high”.

One user wrote: This looks promising, looking forward to see it.

Another user wrote: irritating and interesting at same time.

The trailer is filled with all the suspense and drama, but the show stealer of the trailer is Jackie Shroff who wins us over with his ‘Maushi’ dialogue. This six episode series will be released on March 26th 2021 on OTT platform Disney+Hotstar and Disney+Hotstar Premium. It will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi and Kannada.
